A process book of type exploration I made for my final presentation in Typography class at Pratt Institute. Every slightly change of typography composition could create different results. However, by carefully organizing different levels of elements, we could see the beauty of typography. The idea of using wood as my book cover material was came from this exercise. Woods once was considered as a hard and inflexible material, but with carefully calculating the cutting structure, wood could be soft and bendable.

A typography project that incorporates the steps taken in the process of composition exploration.
The compilations in the book begin with letterforms, words, then text and graphic elements followed by texture and finally images. Overall, The book format functions as an introduction to the complexities of editorial design and book cover design.
